An advent calendar turns the weeks before Christmas into something to look forward to. You open a small door each day, and the surprise can be chocolate, tea, a craft or even socks. These six picks each had a listing under $20 when I checked on October 20, 2026. Prices change, and some sizes and packs cost more, so look at the Amazon listing before you buy.
I only describe what each listing says. For contents, ages and ingredients, please check the product page. If you’re also looking for gifts, see our holiday gift ideas for her under $20 and our DIY craft gifts.

FAQ
When does advent start?
Advent begins on Sunday, November 29, in 2026. Most calendars start on December 1, so order a week or two before.
Are these really under $20?
The default listing for each was under $20 on October 20, 2026. Some packs and sizes cost more. Amazon prices change often, so check the listing before you buy.
Are these safe for allergies?
I can’t say. Chocolate calendars may contain nuts, milk and other allergens. The Kinder listing says it contains nuts, so check the ingredients on each listing.
Can I start an advent calendar late?
Yes. Open one door a day from the date you start, or open a few at once to catch up. Calendars with numbered doors make it easy to skip ahead.
